One of the hardest things for me is to come up with a wish list! If I had a perfect memory throughout the entire year, there would be no problem! So here is a list of my most recent Xmas List wishes!:
•The Bubble Tube dress from Express, floral or solid. The dress no longer appears on the website, but I believe the stores still carry them. They are absolutely adorable, and give you a great silhouette.
•A hefty supply of Canson Marker Paper and Prismacolor Markers. Not only is this paper the best to draw and sketch on, it also allows experimentation with marker blending and mixed media. (Perfect for the aspiring fashion designer by the way!)
•A gift card to any store I love, i.e. Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe. Many people say gift cards are a “cheat” gift, meaning it’s not meaningful, but not me. Gift cards are like mini-shopping sprees!
•A really special and unique long scarf. I love scarves, and the more one-of-a-kind they are, the more I love them! I especially like them bright, colored, and really long.
•A sweet new laptop. I have a great custom-made computer, but the problem is, I’m never at home! My 5 year old laptop is getting by, but I would love to have a brand new souped-up laptop for me on the go!
•Rock Band 2 for the XBox 360. I just treated myself (way out of budget!) to a new XBox 360, and the perfect game to accompany it would be Rock Band 2!
That’s it for me. I’m more of a giver than a receiver most of the time!:-)
Happy Holidays!

With the Internet and Google being as huge as they are now, libraries are a mere second thought (if even) when it comes to finding information. However, I find the library to be a great place to visit all the time! Sometimes I just need a book to flip through and see the pictures right there in my hands - no worries about finding the right image size or dealing with resolution issues. When my school, The Art Institute of Atlanta, first added the Fashion and Retail Management program, we received a whole slew of fashion books! I discovered quite a few books on Fashion Illustration and within a month and a half, I’d already checked them all out! There is nothing wrong with finding inspiration in the talent of other artists. Today’s great artists use the inspiration of artists past to build upon what they learn and to define their own style. That said, imagine my surprise when Luckie shared that Kirsten Ulve was an ASOP supporter! Kirsten’s work had been featured in one of my illustration books. She is one of the artists I’ve always made an effort to keep up with. I love and am inspired by her work! So dare to discover and learn from great artists - both past and present. And remember your local library is still an awesome place to begin your exploration!
Be inspired!

•A Stroke Of Pink, Chi, beauty advice
In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, many of us find ourselves constantly running errands, getting projects done, or meeting up with people. Though we probably enjoy, or maybe not even notice how busy we are, it pays to take a step back every now and then and just stop. While it may be hard to stop everything, it pays off in the long run. Whether you devote your day to watching movie after movie on Lifetime, playing video games even for 8 hours, or just straight drawing all day, giving our minds a break from the constant demands of daily life can be incredibly refreshing. Even though I can usually only find around 1-3 days out of the month where I have the day just to myself, they’re like a few of the best days out of the month. I totally suggest this to everyone, no matter the age. As we get older, we find ourselves with more responsibilities everyday, and if we fail to take a break every now and then, it could lead to an eventual burn-out. To all you girls in your senior and early college years, this is very important. Take a break one Saturday night for example, I promise you, you won’t regret it. Have a day to yourself, tell your friends, boyfriends, family - that you just simply need this day to yourself. So give it a try, and learn the art of chilling it.
It’ll be worth it in the long run!

Ello, it is so good to be blogging on here for your enjoyment! I owe the world to Luckie for giving me the opportunity to do what I love (making art) as a career move. I’m a senior majoring at the Art Institute of Atlanta for Media Arts and Animation, and will be graduating the summer of next year. Cannot wait! In the meantime, I’m gearing up for Senior Project and Portfolio, which is all happening very fast. A little more about me: •I love shopping. I know every girl just about says that, but I mean it - I am a shopoholic. Best store for the best prices and the best unique styles? Forever 21. •I have seen and remember every single episode of Family Guy, and I’m not too bad with quoting from it either. •I love my Sidekick Slide, but I recently got my hands on a G1, and one of those wouldn’t be too bad to have either. That and the iPhone. •MY personal opinion, I liked Kenley’s Collection on the last Project Runway. It was actually my favorite. •Life without my high top chucks would be very sad. If I could change the world, I would have a worldwide hug day. Embracing makes people happy and can cheer up any scrooge. Its cheesy, I know. But I like it.
Love!
